The elegant samue is the upgraded version of the simple samue. The most notable is that the elegant top is constructed with traditional okumi (front panels), which add a refined touch as well as visual interest. In addition, the neck reinforcement panel is cut in a decorative pointed shape in the back (compared to the basic rounded version on the simple samue), and the front pocket is hidden on the lower right side behind the cross-over front. The three-quarters sleeve option is cut in a gentle curve (“boat bottom sleeves”). It is recommended to talk to your practice leadership about whether there are specific guidelines around wearing samue in your community.

Sleeve options (choose one):
- Boat bottom sleeves (3/4 length) with plain-hemmed cuffs (no elastic)
- Full-length sleeves with elastic cuffs
Pants options (choose one):
- Elastic cuffs (recommended choice for both sleeve options in the elegant style)
