Everyday Zen Koromo
$550
This outer robe is designed by Rev. Zoketsu Norman Fisher for priests in the Everyday Zen lineage. It features practical samue-style sleeves with either gathered elastic cuffs or pleated bands with snap closures (see add-ons below). The skirt has three pleats—two on the sides and one in the back—and is cut slightly longer than a typical koromo, ending a few inches above the ankle. It is also possible to add an interior zippered pocket hidden inside the left front of the bodice.
This robe can be worn over samue or street clothes, but it is not recommended to pair with kimono.
