$550

With gathered samue-style sleeves and a koromo-length skirt, the nagasamue is versatile, flattering, and practical. In this version, the body and gently flared skirts are constructed without a seam at the waist, making a clean, attractive silhouette that looks good on everyone. There are only two box pleats, one on each side, which provide ease of movement and convey the sense of wearing robes, but are streamlined to reduce unnecessary fabric. (The side-pleated nagasamue is actually identical to the kairyoe except for the sleeves.) This nagasamue is simple, useful, and beautiful, and deserves a place in the wardrobe of every Zen priest.

It is possible to add an optional interior zippered pocket hidden inside the left front of the bodice.
